PROJECT SCOPE
MUKAYNIS METEROLGY CENTER was inaugurated by Qatar Prime Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah Bin Khalifa Al Thani on 12th September 2019. It was a design and build project awarded to Bayanat Engineering Qatar from Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA). Major Scope included
• Supply, installation, testing & commissioning, and integration of C-band Doppler weather radar
• 42m steel tower with elevator
• Office building and Electrical building
• External and Infrastructure works with related civil/MEP works
The Project duration was 18 months and the contractual project finish date was 1-Mar-2020.
However, BEQ had completed this project and handed over to QCAA within 1 year from project commencement date through the efficient project management & efforts made by BEQ team.
MUKAYNIS Meteorology station was a strategic project as part of Qatar’s FIFA 2022 world cup program which enhance the Qatar’s metrological observation & forecasting operations. The C-Band Weather radar (made by Leonardo Germany) have wide range of features to detect variety of metrological elements in which major are Rain and Wind. In addition, another phenomenon such as.
• Sandstorms
• Microburst
• Gust front
• Tracking of rain cells
• Reverse Sub-catchment (calculation of amount of water accumulated on the ground in a specific area or in a village)
• Warnings by putting threshold of some elements
This Weather Radar has operational coverage of 250KM radius from the radar center and can be extended up to 500KM radius if needed. MUKAYNIS Center is located at central part of Qatar near Salwa road, exit 42

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
It was a material supply project awarded to Bayanat Engineering Qatar by Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA). The scope is to supply Vaisala Radiosonde and Synthetic Balloon’s.
A radiosonde is an electronic device that is used to measure meteorological variables in the atmosphere. The instrument smaller than the size of a coffee cup, is lifted to the upper atmosphere up to altitudes of 20 to 40 km by weather balloon filled with helium or hydrogen. The radiosonde has been the basis of weather forecasting and climate research since first attempts to design such a device by French, German and Soviet scientists in the late 1920s.
The Scope of supply is as follows:
Vaisala RS41 Radiosonde – 800 units
Synthetic Balloon’s – 800 units
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
It is Infrastructure upgrade project awarded to Bayanat Engineering by Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA). The title of this project is supply and installation of tilt able AWOS wind mast. The work is composed of removing the existing frangible mast installed in the five locations of the HAMAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT and Install new tilt able frangible mast. During these two unique activities, removal and re-installation of the existing related sensors and accessories will also be executed as integral part of the work activities. The scope of work connected in the replacement of the existing AWOS frangible wind mast in Hamad International Airport is consist of 2 parts:
A. Removal of the existing AWOS frangible wind mast located in GP 34R. GP16L, GP 34L, GP16R and MET Garden.
B. Installation of new AWOS frangible wind mast with a tilt able capability
The upgraded tilt able AWOS frangible mast is one possible easing to do the corrective maintenance on the sensors and accessories. This will take less time to work near the runway strip area, which means fewer safety hazards.

This project is awarded to Bayanat Engineering Qatar by Salam Technologies Qatar. The scope includes the supply & installation of the Vaisala-Automatic weather Monitoring system (AWS310) at Qatar Petroleum, Mesaid. The weather elements we monitor through this system is as follows:
Wind Speed
Wind Direction
Atmospheric Pressure
Precipitation
Rain Gauge
Atmospheric Temperature
Relative Humidity
Vaisala AWS310 is a complete communication and data monitoring solution measuring multiple parameters that satisfies the general and specific needs of several applications, including synoptic, aviation, agricultural meteorology, hydrology, and climatology and even energy industry applications. The ability to use the same standard hardware and software for many different requirements lowers the cost of training, spare parts, and logistics support. When considering the total life cycle cost of operating an entire network, Vaisala systems are the most economical solution. The scope of work will include the supply, installation and testing commissioning of the Weather Monitoring system.
Equipment Includes are follows
a) AWS 310 Base System
b) WXT536 Weather Sensor
c) OTT PLUVIO2 Precipitation Sensor
d) Installation Accessories
e) NM10 Weather Monitoring Software
The Project awarded on February 2020 and the duration is 12 months. The Project is still on-going and expected to complete in October 2020.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This project is awarded to Bayanat Engineering by Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA). In this project, we are installing Vaisala FD71 (Forward Scatter) as a backup system for RVR (Runway Visibility Range) and integrating it with the existing Vaisala AviMet System. This will help met observers to have more options to check the runway visibility during adverse weather conditions (Sand Strome, fog…etc).
This system will enhance the accuracy of decision making during adverse weather conditions to the met observer.
